Won't start!

Hi J,

Saw a guy pull up to a mechanic shop with his V-8 popping like WWII; where he got out, asked the mechanic, "Why?"

Mechanic asked the often familiar question: "What was the last thing you touched"?

Guy said he removed spark plug wires to clean plugs and re-installed same.

Mechanic pointed next door to a parts place for him to buy new spark plug wires ..... and informed him that when pulling on the wires he broke most of the inside carbon connections.

Like the fellas said, don't just go off and start buying things.
Remove the terminal box and the ammeter. Just check for proper connections and snug things up. See what you come up with. Its fairly common to find loose/bad connections. Get yourself a test light, it doesn't have to have a 6v bulb in it. The original parts are usually far better than replacements. We'll get this monster back up and running.
