Wiring ignition switch with accessory post - help!

Bought a fancy Nu-Rex ignition switch with accessory post for my 31 Vicky. Put it in, hooked the dash light to the accessory post, and it kills the engine every time I turn on the light! OK, I understand I just added a ground from the light and it is gobbling up the juice that normally goes to the coil. How do I wire the ignition circuit to make the accessory post work like today's iron and not kill the car? I have a stock 6v pos system. I see rumor of a different red wire scheme, has anyone got details?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

You need to run the coil power through the Nu Rex switch if you want to have power at the acc position.

Stock wiring is to run the coil ground through the ignition switch.

The Model A ignition switch is electrically located between the low end of the coil and the ignition points. You cannot add anything at this point or you will be putting it in parallel with the points. When you switched the light on it shorted out the points.
