Hi,
I am re-doing my 32 & now I am having problems with my headlights. It won't shut off. Does anyone know where I could get a wiring diagram for a 32 Fordor?
thanks Joanne

If you have the V-8 Club's 1932 book, all of them are in Appendix 15 for V-8 or four, early or late, LHD and RHD. There is no one diagram that fits all.

Heck,
I don't know if I have the early Ford V8 book. Where do I get it? I have Dave's book. And I have bought do many others. What does it look like & is that the exact title?

Here it is. I bought mine from the Early Ford V-8 Club of America. The book can be purchased from Drake's but I am not sure about the other V-8 Ford Vendors. Here is the link to the EFV-8 C/A page describing the 1932 Ford Book. It is two volumes and is titled "The 1932 Ford Book."

Joanne,

The wiring diagrams are in Appendix 15 in the second volume. As you were also asking about your horn, that's covered on pages 6-27 through 6-29 in the first volume. It includes the photos that I posted on your horn thread here on the barn.

Joanne,

I hope you purchased wiring looms from the suppliers and are not trying to run wires yourself using bulk wire. My thought is that your problem is in the switch at the bottom of the steering column where the power wire accidentally was hooked to place the wire to the lights should go.

Sounds to me like you may have the dash light or cowl light wire mixed up with the feed wire. If that is the case, the terminal ends are wrong or have been switched from a bullet style connecter to a ring terminal. It is always possible with repop switct assy's that something is wrong there. Also, on repop swith assy's, the slip on terminals need to be soldered to the switch asy tabs. If not, they may slip off and either send power to something else or short out. Original switchs had soldered wires.
