Wire Size 35-36

Anyone know the wire size or gauge that is used on the 35-36 Ford autos ?
I have a wiring diagram but it only lists the 12 different wire colors.
Also do the new wiring harnesses that can be purchased normally include the correct wire colors ?
Presently I'm just replacing a few wires but can not figure the size that was installed back in the 1930's at the factory.
Later I may purchase good reproduction wire harnesses. I know going to a larger wire size is usually a good ideal to reduce resistance but I'm really trying to stay with the as built wire gauge.

Tyre Harris makes the best wiring harnesses. Great guy to work with too. His number is 840-556-5200

I just sort of measured the wires diameters.. I came up with at least 3 or 4 different wire gauge sizes not including the battery -or the the ground + strap:
Red wire to coil 16 gauge. Black wire to taillights maybe 14 gauge. Yellow
wire from starter switch to fuse terminal 12 gauge.

Wire from fuse to dome light 16 or 18 gauge.

Many wires going to the bottom of the steering wheel lighting switch may be 14 or 16 gauge but not sure ? Hard to figure this wiring mess at this area.

Also the bullet connectors that are normally used, are they made in different sizes ?
Many times I see them for sale in the old V8 Ford catalogs but they don't list the size of wire they are intended for just

I've picked up bullet connectors (both male and female) at the local big box home improvement store with the orange signs. They come for either larger wire (blue insulating sleeve) or smaller wire (red sleeve.)

The bullets were used on the assembly line for ease of assembly. Today they are a source of resistance that an old Ford can well do without. Best to solder these bullets, or at least to clean and install with adequate dialectric grease to prevent oxidation. While replacing wires, check each leg for voltage drop and make corrections as needed. Big difference in size of battery leads, make sure you have 6V not 12v leads.
