The photos of the dunking system never uploaded. I have seen the system before. Sexist comment, but I can't imagine a female neighbor (or me for that matter) pulling out 44 drowned mice and disposing of them.... I am sure the trap can catch them, just not sure I want to deal with the carcasses.

Jim1932, Go to Page 2 of this thread and look at post #33 or #36 the pictures are there. (Your latest post is #42, the number is displayed on the rt hand of the gray bar at the top of a post that has the time on the right) My neighbor Marlene is 80 years young and simply pours the water out of the bucket on the ground away from her house and refills the water. No need to touch the dead rodents. She has her trap under her steps up to her deck so gets lots of them because it is outside. I'm not making any of this up.

Post 36 has 2 photos I uploaded so I could share. I think the 2 pictures show everything you need to know about building one of these "mouse swimming pools" I call "mice-B-gone".
Post 33 is my original. I should add that the can with the peanut butter should rotate very easily, the plastic bucket is a good "bushing".

All I pull up on post #36 is your album of some 61 pages, but I see NO pictures of the "Mouse swimming pool". How do I get to it direct??

Thanks

Lawson

Yes, I have sold over 100 of them at swap meets along with car parts. 5 gal bucket, empty quart paint can, 1/8th inch rod, a stick for mice to walk up, a cotter key to keep the stick back far enough and not come out, some rubber stoppers with holes drilled in them to locate the paint can keep the rod from moving side to side . I was making them for about 5 bucks and selling them for 15. I had a free source of buckets. My neighbor got 44 mice the first week she used one!
Simple and cheap.
One person brought one back and said it didn't work and when he showed me how he was setting it up he ran the stick right in next to the peanut butter so they could stand there and eat. I showed him how the mice have to "reach" out to get the peanut butter then the can rotates and the fall into they water and drown.
Make one you won't be disappointed!

I made one of these traps one year. I got a mouse in my RV trailer. Just one night and I caught the bugger. Dead in the morning. Worked like a charm.

This is really weird, when I look at those posts the pictures are there. Go to my public albums, I put the mice-b-gone pictures in the album of pictures of a cut-a-way engine my RG restored and is now in the museum in the Midwest. Album should be at the top of the list of albums. I don't know if the Private/Public setting got flipped or something. Anyway I apologize. Does anyone know how to re arrange the albums?
Let me know if you can see the pictures, some people did.

Thanks Jim 1932, I just made the mouse trap. It took me about 15-20 or so with materils in the shop and shed,
I used a coffee can instead same dimensions as a quart can. It's ready to roll.

Deuce, I don't see your pictures in this thread, either. I went to your album and can see the pictures of the trap in the thumbnails, but when I try to enlarge them they don't show up. I can select "next" in the album and the pics of the cut-a-way engine do enlarge as normal. It might be my computer, don't know.

Thanks Stangblue,
I am giving up on the pictures. Why I can see them full sized and others can't I have no idea. Your pictures pretty much look like the trap I make. I try to keep the can about level with the top of the bucket and yours look pretty darn good. If you have mice in your building this will get them. I notice that in spring the numbers go way up, and also in winter there are more dead mice. I live in a rural area which may play into it too.
40 cpe--It is probably some weird problem with my pictures or album.
