Winfield Model S updraft on a T

The original was cast iron and one just sold on ebay in the last couple of weeks with the carb. This one would work;

Maybe?
You could call Chaiffins and talk to Dave he might be able to send you in the correct direction. I don't know enough about the Windfields to know the size of the mounting and throat and which number is which to be much help beyond that.

I have a Winfield on my '15. It is unbelievable how much difference it made compared to a straight thru NH!

What model Winfield are you running ? And is your intake same as the one in the link that RedmodelT posted above ?

I am building a 1915 T racer to the spec my Grandpa ran in the mid-20s to early 30s

Thxs for the input guys - I am just learning about these great early cars - used to early 40s Fords with Flathead V8s

John,

My Winfield is a 1 1/4" made for Model T. The intake is an original one made by Winfield, and it is aluminum. The reproductions look quite different than mine, and are thicker. I have never seen an original cast iron Winfield intake for Model T. Aluminum ones occasionally show up on Ebay.

Here is a close up showing the mixture and idle adjustment screws:

It looks like a Model V Winfield - the smallest V type carb had a serial # with 4V...
I'm considering a V Model - though the Winfiied Model S is a very nice carb with sharp performance .

Aluminum intake, I see my error. I made the assumption that the intake and carb shown was correct. Thanks, one more piece in my education. :)
