Looking into getting a 1939 Standard Sedan which has the roll out windshield. Can these be changed over to say a 40 windshield held in with the rubber gasket. Thanks,
Doug

To answer the question: The windshield opening is different between the two and they will not interchange. It could be done, I suppose, but it would be a major modification.

Agree with swoop, that windshield is one of the best looking things on a 39 Ford.Buy a good rubber gasket ,make the wind shield crank-out operational, clean out the two drain holes, and enjoy that 39 Ford.

Ok thanks, might be a deal breaker. One on the car not in very good condition. Seller says he knows someone that may have a good one. Was just looking at my options rest of car is in good condition.

If the windshield frame is good, the glass can be replaced.
Doable repair for your average guy.

The '37-'38-'39 Ford closed cars and the pickups windshields will all interchange,
so that gives you more chance of finding a good used one,,,;)
