This is what i do on customers' cars: generally there is a leading and a lagging wiper and a slight overlap. On the lagging wiper (usually the passenger side, it is the one closest to the edge of the roof) i pop the arm and securing nut off the wiper, i take a small piece of stainless - drilled to go over the wiper drive assemble - and bend a lip on the right side. This piece of stainless is small, 1 1/4 X 2 at most, part of it will lay on the roof, the flange you bent will stick up enough to act as a stop for the blade. Trim it down to smallest size possible and still function, polish it and reassemble with the nut holding it tight to the roof and rotated so that the arm will come to a stop against it when the wipers go 'off', the other wiper (leading wiper) will rest against the lagging wiper. The small piece of stainless will look right at home, can't really see it when the wiper is at 'rest'. If you can't understand my rambling pm me and i'll go get a pic of one. Maybe i should make and sell them? Later, oj
