Thanks, these are from a car that was derbied in years past. Car is about 80 miles form here, but will be stripping off more of what is still good over the winter. Needless to say some of the sheetmetal is real tore up, but the trim and such like pictured was thrown in the back and not damaged. Rod

yeah they're 57 i think the inner window stuff will work on a 58 also

is it a custom , or a fairlane? im looking for 2 pieces of stainless body trim for my custom

Honestly I could not tell you at the moment. The car is in a ravine about 60 miles from here. It has painted headlight eyebrows if that helps to identify it as one or the other. The junkman I sell parts for on commission is supposed to be dragging it and 6 other parts cars in soon. Along with the Model A body we need to get out of another wash. He is getting up there in age, so we do things at his pace which is sometimes abit slow. Hoping I can go over 2 Saturdays in November and get things staged for easy access over the winter. Lots of good usable parts on all of the cars along with several 9" rearends and 35-40 Ford frames. Should be profitable for both of us. Rod

the easy way to tell a custom from a fairlane is the wheelbase the fairlane is longer and it maybe hard to believe but they share very little from the firewall back

and heres a tip a 57 9"rear is a direct bolt in for a 69-70 mustang

Thanks, with this car being demo'ed and having an FE shoved in it, not alot is really salvagabble. Much appriciate the tip on the 9", that will go a long ways in salvaging. Talked to the junkman last week and it may be awhile before we dive back into things as his wife has to have back surgory soon. Hoping for a warmer winter with much less snow than last year, so we can get back to it around Christmas.

Well, Winter hit before I got out there, but now spring is here I made a trip and got some pic's. Looking like late July before we can drag it out as we don't want to tear up the guys wheat crop. Now we can possibly get some clarification. If you spot anything that you think looks salvagle let me know. I have the 4 bl intake for it. Thanks Rod

That's a '57 Fairlane with a later FE motor. The valve covers do have some value and the deck lid if it's any good. Does it still have the 9inch rear?

Thanks Luke, I thought that was the case, but with the FE I wanted to make sure. Will be sure to save the valve covers. Decklid is bashed in, with the angle of the sun I could not get pics of the damage. If the rearend is still there it is in the dirt. I did not take my shovel with me on the walk to the car. Is there any value in the dhach components, blower moror for the heater or anything like that? Thanks Rod

I think the seat springs are toast, dash pieces is about it for interior stuff. Thanks for the input I greatly appriciate it. Rod
