windshield remove screws

Hi everyone. Can some one tell me how do you remove the 6 windshield screws on the frame. I cracked the top part of the windshield already. Not to happy right now. I tried WD40 and other things but can't get them free.

I feel your pain, as our former President used to say. Instead of WD40 use either Kroil or get some Liquid Wrench and let it sit. If the fastener is painted over scratch the paint away such that the oil can get into the threads and do its thing. After letting it sit for a day or so then try rapping the end of the screwdriver with a few impacts while in a turning motion. I have even had to use heat with all of the above. I hate drilling out broken bolts. Best of luck to you.

I got to replace the windshield now anyway. I tried all the above and so far nothing. I'll try heating it again. All paint was removed before hand. If nothing else I guess I'll try drilling. I really hate to but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Thanks for the replies.

I have found heat works the best. I usually heat the screw/bolt and quinch it with water (like in a Windex spray bottle). Sometimes I have to do it several times. I have had very few screws and bolt not removed this way. Drilling is the last resort. I have had to do the drill routine a few times. I use the smallest reasonable drill bit first and try to center the hole in the exact center as close as I can by tilting the drill to "eye" the hole in the center of the screw/bolt. Then I take a little bigger drill bit and enlarge the hole and keep using larger bits until just the threads mostly remain in the hole. Then a tap can be used to clean the old threads out to allow a new screw to be used.

Got it done. It took three heat try's and they came out. The windshield didn't like it but it's a part now. At lease the windshield glass is in one piece, for later on to get new glass cut. Thanks guys.
