Windshield removal question

The glass in my windshield frame has developed a serious rattle and i need to replace the seal.
My question is: On a 1930 "a" closed cab pickup, can i remove the windshield without having to remove the upper visor? Where might i find proper instructions to guide me in removing the windshield? You guys are great, thanks ahead for any tips, suggestions, instructions or words of wisdom in helping me out.

This is probably a bad suggestion, but here is what I did when my windshield rattled...

I used a thin piece of plastic to force transparent RTV up into the gaps where the seal had worn. Then cleaned up the excess. (In other words, hid the evidence of my farmer fix.) No rattles for a year.

Probably should replace seal, but this works for now.

I would consider doing what Ray did, but use windshield setting urethane.

If you want to remove the windshield, then remove the two slides at the windshield frame and swing the glass forward so you can unscrew all the hinge screws from the wood. Two people works best, or even three, and lay a blanket on the gas tank.
