Windshield Leak While Driving in the Rain

You might want to reconsider removing the windshield, you might pay a price in appearance and aggravation beyond what the leak causes.

Why?

He's talking about removing the windshield frame and glass as a unit from the car body. I have done it with no issue.

Not based on experience with S/W windshields, however I have done flat windshield A’s and I know the hinges can be dicey. Shew has a pretty car, would hate to scratch it up is all.

OK. Yea, Slant windshield cars are different.

Watch the video link a few replies up to see how it works. The video is longer than it needs to be; skip ahead to the actual removal and you will see how easy it is.

Replace is almost as easy, but you need an assistant to guide the edge of the hinge into the body half of the hinge as you start it in.

The brand of that liquid windshield stuff is Permatex. You
can check your local Ace Hardware and even order it online
with them.

We got caught in the rain on a tour today. I think the windshield wiper shaft is leaking, and I think rain is wicking in from the top hinge in multiple places.
