Windshield frame

On my 31 Coupe, the windshield frame has some mystery
holes in the upper frame. I realize the wiper has to use some of the
holes on the drivers side, but pass side has some also. Help
identifying all holes would be a big help.

There was a post in the last day or so about w/shield frames. Included were pictures from marco's site explaining what the diff holes were and which models used which, try a search or scroll back thru the posts.

It looks to me that someone had an after-market "dual-wiper" set up on your coupe. It usually consisted of a light-weight link arm from wiper arm on driver's side, over to the little stanchion that would screw onto windshield frame on passenger's side that another wiper arm would be attached to. There was no "RainX' in them thar days.

That was my initial post, if you go to the top of the forum, you will see my response to the helpful gentleman who posted the photos for me. Very detailed photo showing all the holes.

Rich your 4 holes look correct.
Below is my 31 coupe frame with the correct spacing.
Between these holes were 2 more, which I welded and leaded over.
What you see is the lead filled flat & ready for epoxy primer.
Your two "volunteer holes" could be fixed likewise.
I have to say the picturial on Marco's website showing the different frames & holes is some of the best work he's ever done.
