Windshield frame

Need advice on taking apart an original '32 Ford coupe winshield frame. Specifically, what secures the bottom frame, and once removed from the balance of the frame what's the best way to remove the glass without breaking. Thanks to anyone replying, Mike

Assuming that you have either a 3-window or 5-window coupe and not a sport coupe, the bottom portion of the frame is secured by two screws on each side (near the bottom) which are covered up by the outer rubber weather strip. Depending on the condition of the frame and the glass setting material, the glass may come out of the frame without a lot of effort. On a flat surface a block of wood tapped lightly with a plastic-covered hammer against the glass side of the frame alternating from end to end may be required to free the glass from the frame.
