Windshield Frame Wiper Motor Mounting

I had to purchase a new windshield frame and hinge and want to mount the wiper motor but it looks like you have to notch the hinge for the controls and electrical connector. Am I correct in my thinking. The windshield frame and hinge were taken off the car before we rescued her so I don't have anything to go off of.
