window replacement

i have a 31 a. want to replace windows, the metal cap has 3 screws, have had penatrating oil on them 2 days, still wont move, what do i do, drill out?

Have you tried a 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF (auto trans fluid)? This is as good a penetrating oil as anything out there. If that doesn't work then I guess you will be looking at drilling out.

Have you tried a hand impact tool with the proper bit?? I have used it successfully many times.

Have you tried Kroizoil? spray it on, tap w/ a brass hammer, wait 1/2 hr, and try to remove it.

Kroil is amazing stuff. Wicks right into rust.

Sometimes, if you slightly TIGHTEN first, they will come out.
