I bought a new window regulator for my coupe and it does not have any method to roll inside the lower channel. Is there supposed to be a roller or does the end of the regulator just slip in the lower channel of the window frame?

Just slips in the lower channel with some lube.

Grease it up good!

One trick: The windows must not have any play in the channels or they will bind. If there is play, space out the channels with some cardboard or other material. Pull the channels out and insert the cardboard perhaps with a spot of glue.

Make sure that the roller is free to rotate.

there is NO roller on the coupe window regulators, it just slides in the grove.

What looks like a roller is a round guide, if it rotates it’s about to break/loose on its mount
