Window not closing correctly

Hey folks, have a little problem. When I get to about 2” to the top of the window it tips in. If I push on the top of window it will close just fine, but if I don’t it binds up at the top. It has all new rubber and felt channels. Help would be appreciated. Thanks. It’s a 1935 ford 5 window coupe.

Deleted. Sorry thought the issue was for your T bird. Had similar issue with my Mustang which would have a similar set up as T Bird. Not sure about a 36 ford mechanism.

Its been a few years since i put mine together, but the back of the window has a wide guide to keep the window from tipping in when it gets pushed forward by the regulator. you may have something missing, or not the right guide bar on the back of the glass.

Had similar problem on my '37. Not sure if my solution would apply to your '35.

On my '37, the interior garnish molding (with wiskers), is the guide for the upper part of the glass. If the window/regulator is not centered properly, glass will get out from behind the garnish molding and tip inboard. Solution was to open the door panel and slide the regulator a fraction of an inch to keep glass behind the garnish molding all the way up.

Another question, does molding on back of door wide side up or down?

There should be a hook tab type thing riveted to that wide channel. That would determine which is up or down.If I remember correctly it locks in at the top.I have done a 35 tudor and a 36 5W a few yrs ago.
