Anyone know where to get an "upper front track adjusting screw" for a 1955 crown victoria? I rebuilt my power window in the rear quarter panel and i accidentally stripped the threads. Im having a hard time locally finding someone/machine shop to fix it and Macs Auto doesn't sell them it seems.

Help! thanks - Christopher

I was hoping someone could have helped you by now.

The Ill for the 55 CROWN power quarter glass has been deleted from the FINAL ISSUE MPC. The manual glass is still there but my printer is on the fritz to show you if the part you need is shown there.

I checked the 55 SHOP MANUAL and the detail was not there either. It will most likely be found in an original period parts catalog or possibly the BODY ASSEMBLY MANUAL for the model year.

Thanks for the response. I'll admit that i'm not following your acronyms - Ill, MPC? I've continued to call around and no luck. I'm going to try the local junk yard this week but their cars are picked over. Thanks for the help - i appreciate it.

Sorry about that... I like to flaunt my knowledge...

MPC is MASTER PARTS CATALOG. FORD grouped the years 49/59 and made a FINAL ISSUE in 1964. Changes are (were) made (superscessions/deletions) every quarter and FORD drops some of that info from the catalog.

Ill (illustration) is an engineering drawing showing assembly explosions and basic part numbers to direct you in the TEXT.
