I could be wrong but believe GM made planes and engines and Chrysler made engines and tanks.

Both GM and Chrysler made fuselage pieces and wing leading edge/nacelle sub assemblies for the B-29, but not whole airplanes.

The Nova was built at Assembly, across the street from the Bomber Plant. The Bomber plant eventually ended up being Hydramatic.
