Wide Five Caps

Does anyone have pics and descriptions of what years and models are which? Ive got a bunch and would like to know what years are what. I know one set is 36 and ive got another set that look the same as the 36's but the v8 is not raised.

The V8 on '36 caps is recessed while it is raised on the 37's.

Here are 38 and 39 caps . In order 38 std , 38 dlx , 39 std , 39dlx .

I've heard the 36 &37 difference ,the 64 dollar question,what do the 38's look like?

1936 cap 1937 cap 1938 standard 1938 de luxe / wider stainless/mushroom shape when viewed from side 1939 de luxe sorry for no picture of 39 standard,same as 38 standard except the v-8 in center is much smaller///hope i got the rest correct

This is what a 1939 Ford Standard Hubcap looks like. These have the smaller Chrome Centres the same size as the 1938 Ford Standard, but the V8 Emblem is much smaller than the V8 Emblem in the 1938 Ford Standard.
The V8 Emblems in the 1938 Ford Standard & the 1938 Ford Deluxe are the same size. Hope that this helps.

This is what the full range of Wide Five Ford V8 Hubcaps look like, including the Accessory Spyder Hubcaps.
You will note that for 1939, Ford didn't change the design of the Spyder Hubcaps to match the regular production 1939 Ford Hubcaps, but continued to offer the 1938 Ford Spyder Hubcap for the 1939 models.
These pictures also include the earlier & late Ford Hubcaps which I have on display in my Garage. It has taken a long time to collect this lot, but it has been fun.
