In the late 1950's I frequented a machine shop in El Cajon. It still had the overhead belts to drive the machinery. Next door was a mechanic who used a Model A truck like in the photo to push cars into his shop. He had bolted a 2 X 12 to the front as a bumper to push the cars with. The mechanic had three old cars in the loft of his shop, a 1903 curved dash Olds, an early Stanley Steamer, and an IH high wheeler. The three cars sold for $3,000, which was a lot of money back then. But not as much as they are worth today even with the change in the value of the dollar.
