Wide 5 wheels

I had it done and is perfect for 700 tires. A guy in Connecuit, Tom does it, used to have his info. Someone on here does, maybe closer to the coast. I would also like to get his phone as I have some wires I may want done also. He told me a week turnaround, can't beat that

I did the same thing for my '36 a couple years ago. My experience was NOT good using Stockton Wheel. They quote one price ahead of time, then when you're invested in the shipping cost and they have your wheels, surprise! The price goes up. Not because of any extra work that needs to be done, just because they feel they've got you over a barrel. Sorry to have to post up a negative, but we should look out for each other on here. I have since been recommended to have Rally America www.rallyamerica.com do the same work. I checked with them and they quoted a much lower price, but I don't have any first hand experience with them to convey.

I need to widen a '39 Ford wide 5 wheel from a standard 4" rim to 6". Can anyone help me? Thanks.

A company that will widen Ford wheels, including wide 5 or wire wheels, is Wheel Works, 1703 Route 130, Burlington, NJ. 08016, ph# 609-387-4488. Excellent service. The person who told me about this company said he gave them his wheels on a Sunday at a local flea market and a UPS truck delivered them back to him that Friday! Price per wheel quoted on 3/16/06 was $100.00 each if widened on one side, and $150.00 each if widened on both sides. I would expect these prices have changed since 2006. JM

Yes JM, that's the one I meant and same prices I was quoted about then. Can't imagine anyone would not increase price considering what materials are now. If it wasn't 500 miles away I'd take them there and see if I could watch.

Another vote for Rally America.... I got a set of wide-fives widened last year..... excellent service
