And be careful as the '36 is different than the '37-'39 .Spindle changed in '37.if you think hubs are hard to find try brake drums
Speedway has an adapterTry to find anyone who can balance these wheels. I have yet to find anyone around here who can balance them. ( Anchorage, Palmer, Alaska ) I am going to make up an adapter out of an old hub when the weather warms up, and I can get into the conex when the snow melts.
Tony, thanks. I did check Craigslist but must have used a slightly different search term. All I got in my search was rusty ones that looked questionable.Hey Tim.
Here's how you find them: Craigslist.
Took me 2 minutes.
They are in Mooresville north of Charlotte.
The ad says one wheel, the actual listing body
says he found another.
Take a look.
Here is a picture and the listing.
I have no connection, but I can find stuff!
Good luck,
Tony Martino
That might work, but that is not the purpose for which it was intended. The main problem is that it has 5/8" studs, so the Ford wheels won't fit on it. You could probably modify it to work, but if you did, you should first balance the adapter by itself. At that price and the amount of modification required, it might be better to make your own.
Are we talking about the same adapters here? The Speedway units are for 6 pin sprint wheels.
