One day was out driving my A and i stopped to get gas. I had my buddy hop out and fill her up and check my oil for me because I have been sick. He ended up dropping the hood like it was a modern car hood some how it caught my horn wires and caused a short in my condenser I limped home to change my condenser well some how it snapped off inside the dizzy. I have seen people pull there dizzys and pop them back in, when i went to pull mine it wasn't moving after 8.5 decades. I pulled the head and hammered out the bottom of the dizzy. I put her back together with a new head gasket (copper) after 50 miles the head was sucking air between the 2nd ad 3rd cylinders. I pulled apart the motor sent the head to be plained and put her back together with a modern silicone head gasket i went to start her and i cant get her to fire over it doesn't seem like shes getting any gas. im just confused and need help any body out there who can give me help or a hand tomorow i live in billerica ma. With her not running i am carless i had surgery and only have the A at the moment and im killing myself trying to get her going, im sure its something simple im missing? anyone have advice or willing to come down and help? Maybe some someone can being a carberator that we know works to see if its in the carberation my numbers 1617-519-0541

Sounds like you screw the cable into the distributor too far, and it is grounding out

Long way for me to come, especially this week, BUT maybe friday. Are you getting gas at the carb. I remember you had issues a few months ago, were they resolved and this is a new problem?

so i got her going for about 20 miniuts cleaned out the caberator put new plugs in it and chocked her for a while and she eventualy started it seems that she is not sucking enoughf gass up into the cylenders, even though when i put my hand over the mouth of the carberator I have dam good suction so i dont think i have an air leak iand when she stalled out the other day after running for 20 miniuts it seemed like she was running out of gas. oh and by the way she stalled after the 20 miniuts and i can not get her going again

Disconnect the fuel line at the carb, put a can under it to catch the fuel, turn on the valve under the tank. You should get a strong stream of fuel out of the line, if not there's a problem from the line back to the tank (or in the tank). If you have a strong stream, then it's in the carb (low float?) or you could have an engine valve problem.

Since this problem started right after filling with gas, I hope you didn't get a bunch of water in the gas. It's been known to happen and a gas staion in Webster, S.D. was built on low ground, and often after a rain, water ran into the underground storage tanks.

ok guys heres an update do i think i was looking the wrong direction with this i have been looking for a gass carb problem but now i beleve it is an ignition problem. I am not getting a nice hot blue spark put out of my wire im onley getting the fainest littlesest orange sparks fromt the end of the wire to a head bolt at 1/8th appart any suggestions guys

Make sure your coil wire has the wire center and not todays carbon center, make sure it does not have a breakin in the wire near the center try a piece of 14-2 electrical wire for test piece ifyou have the spark and gasoline it will run Gord. B by the bay

ok shes alive, turns out it was the coil wire after all that dove her all day and night no problems re ran great. thanks for the help guys
