Regarding sheet metal parts for Model A's. The whole thing boils down to cost. United Pacific started making last year, all the parts to make a 1932 5 window coupe body, form steel, in Taiwan. It takes about 300 parts to make a 1932 5 window coupe body, and some are large and complicated (doors, rear quarters etc). they make these in taiwan and they are nice. They make the complete body and they are selling well in the Street Rod market. The reason they put up the $$$ to make all these parts to make this body, is because it is a $25K body. Street Rodders will pay $25,000 for a steel body. Down uder they are making the new 1928-1929 closed cab pickup cabs. Nice quality, but pricey ($10K for a cab). Again, the street rodders will pay that, and it appears the restoration people will not, so they are not going to invest the money in making these parts for the restoration customers if they will not pay the prices that good parts demand. Just my observations......
