I am looking for a Alternator bracket that offsets the Alt pulley closer to the radiator than the common flat bracket. I have truck water pumps on an 8ba and I need to move the alt about 3 inches closer to the front of the car. I know they exist I have bought one before for another project.......I can't remember where I got it though.
 
Sometimes you can move the alternator in front of the bracket, depending on the alternator. I think that would get you about 3" with a GM alternator. My $.02 worth.
 
I have the sling shot that uses a early full size gm alt.The early ones have a smaller spacing to bolt alt on.Then you need 5/8 pulley Speedway has them.The alt has to be about 1/2 to line up to the truck waterpump. East Coast auto electric #2001 is what i got from Jegs,or Summit.I had to replace mine few months ago its a one wire.
 
Henry, I have tried your idea........I know someone makes an off set mount for what I am doing.........I am having a CRS episode and can't remember where I bought the one I have on another engine.

Try Patricks Antique Auto Parts near Phoenix, AZ. I got one from them about three years ago and it's been fine. Maybe thay can help with your problem.
