Who rebuilds T magnetos?

Looking to rebuild the mag assembly on my 14 T. I've been told of a gentleman who does this, and has recently moved to MN, from either Ind or ILL. If someone out there knows of him, or anyone else that does this, I would appreciate hearing from you. What I want is a good rebuild job at a fair price.

thankx! George (skolzie)

RV Anderson may be able to help, he's in NY. Go to the Model T Ford Club of America and look at the list of suppliers. There are one or two others.
If you have the engine tore down be sure that the magneto setup is 1914. Over the years someone could have swapped out the flywheel/magnets and coil ring for newer parts. I think the 14 would have used the double stack round type.
The coil rings do come up every so often on Ebay, sold without exchange. Any rebuilder or parts supplier is going to need the exchange unit sent in first.

Mark Fleischhacker is the man to do your mag coil ring.

Total Re-Coil

Mark took over the business of Total Re-Coil and trained by Wally Szumowski who retired but for years did the best, so does Mark now.

Oh...forgot to add...just got a new rebuilt coil ring from Mark, and he offers this option that others don't do.

The four mounting pads on the iron ring are surface ground to be flat within .0015", eliminates the hassle of shimming, as the ring is now perfectly flat at the shim points.

The final shim process is much faster with this feature.

Thank you tmodelman, I remembered that Wally turned over the business to someone but could not remember who and I could not find the info.

Thanks, tmodelman, I believe that Mark is the rebuilder that I am looking for, and also for the tip on machining the mounting pads, . . Skolzie

I believe Lang's can also provide the surface grinding of both the coil faces & mounting pads to the rebuilt field coils they retail.
