Who makes the best quality Model A Patch Panels??

I am wondering who you have used and how happy you are with the quality and heaviness of the panels. I would rathe rbuy quality and don't know who sells the best??

With exception to the Bill Stipe cowl patch panels, none of the patches are very good. Most are flat and have poorly formed beads in one way or another. By the time you have made them fit properly you might as well made up your own.

Flat is a problem since there are few flat panels on the A's. You need to put in the compound curves before you weld them in or you will introduce a lot of distortion that you can not correct.

Turns out I found it is not very hard to make up you own panels if you take some time to learn a bit about how metal works.

See my website on the bottom to see what I have done (keep in mind I had no clue when I started) with my car. I also lead you to the info you need to learn to do it yourself. You do not need to spend a lot of money, just take the time to understand and try some.

I guess it is my luck that Bill Stripe looks to be just 30 miles from me in Plymouth Wisconsin. I will contact him and see what he can do for me. Thanks to everyone for the help.

The idea of making my own panels is intriguing, but I am just a little short on time at the moment, so if Bill can get me moving along, that would be great.

OK, I talked to the people at Bills shop and they only make cowl patches for the Vicky, so what is my best bet for door panels and behind the door panel? I will get the cowl pcs from Bill, but will still need the others.
