I have a stock 1940 Ford Dash and Gauge Panel. My transmission is a later model Ford 3 speed Top Loader with Jeep Shifter behind a Flathead. I don't have the Speedometer hooked up as I don't know who to contact to make a cable or an adaptor to my transmission. Any Help? Thanks, Jim

Most shops that specialize in drivelines will have the capability to do this.
Check your local listings, I did something similar and took both cable ends to a shop in Anchorage , along with the length I needed, and they made one while I waited.

We have them made up by Bob's Speedometer in Michigan. The places to make up the shaft and housing have mostly disappeared. You can reach them at 800/592-9673.

Almost every town had a speedometer shop in the past and they made them up as Ralph said. I'm not sure now days if the shops are still around or not.

You can, probably, do it yourself. I have bought generic inside cables, with a little tool to square up the ends. Check with an old time auto parts business. Maybe, even the big chains might have it. Just ask.
It will beat paying someone $75.00/hour.
