I remember a thread a while back about bad weather seals.
Who makes a good windshield rubber seal for the 1950 car?
Is Steele better than Carpenters?
Are there other manufacturers? thanks

Steele and Carpenter are the only two sources that I know of. You might check Metro Moulded in Minnesota. They do make some Ford stuff. My neighbor used Carpenter on his 49. One of the things that you have to do is use a sealer with all these gaskets or they will leak.

All rubber stuff has gone up. It's a petroleum product. We're also getting sticker shock at the grocery store.

If Mac's repackages their rubber parts you have no idea who makes it. Sacramento Vintage Ford and some other suppliers also do the same , so you don't know who's part you are getting. I personally deal with the suppliers who tell me who manufactured a specific part. That way I have a choice.
