Thinking of doing a hydraulic conversion on my 29 Phaeton. Is there anyone in the SoCal region who can help?
Why not rebuild the mechanical's?
Yes because it was cheaperFord changed to Hydraulic for a smart reason

A "psychiatrist"?
He didn't ask IF he should.

Juice brakes are fine if you drive most every day ,., Brake fluid is a magnet
for moisture ,. The more you sit the more moisture gets in the system .,
The moisture rusts the wheel cylinders and no brakes ., Takes about 2
years sitting .,

Hey Hicktick,
For these statements, I have to AGREE with you .
However, in the interest of accuracy and for those wanting/searching for the 'truth'. Let it be known that ....if you use synthetic brake fluid, then what you have said is not accurate/true
! I believe that the word is hydrophobic (?) when something such as synthetic brake fluid will not absorb water from air and within a closed system. Ergo, no water, no rust..clear as mud,eh !
Hm, the way these mechanical vs hydraulic threads develop, reminds me of maybe a thousand oil threads from yesteryear![]()
