Which Shocks for 1951 F1?

I am to the point in my build that I need to buy and install shocks all around.

1951 Ford F1, totally stock suspension and steering, flathead V8.

I have read about the pros and cons of various brands, which has left me even more confused. Plus, it appears that I can't just buy shocks for the truck without know open length, closed length, etc. The suppliers that do have "stock" shocks don't provide the manufacturer, so I have no idea as to what quality I am getting.

Looking for a good USA made shock for a stock F1 that will be driven mostly on city streets with some highway driving. I don't just want to know what brands, but model numbers so that I can order directly. Barring that, contact info for the company-who do I talk to to get the order placed correctly?

I do not want to spend more than $300.00 for all 4 shocks, as I just don't see the need-this is not a race car, it's a truck.

Looking forward to hearing about others choices.

You want to go with stock 48 F-1 Monroe-Matics avaliable at NAPA. I think i paid about 50-60 each... nice ride, yet firm. Very good quality. Don't have a part # or travel closed and open probably thru the website. Good luck

I use the Napa brand shocks. I believe they are made by Monroe or Gabriel and are very reasonably priced.
