which pulley do I need?

OK, So my 57 wagon came with PS and at some point AC. I have the damper pulley for the engine, and what I think is a PS pulley. What I need is an AC pulley. I have seen three shiv pulleys but don't know if they would work. Or do I need to find another PS pulley and bolt it to the front of the existing PS pulley?

As an aside, can anyone tell me why my engine sits so far forward? According to the books I have installed the mount correctly but she sits about .5" to far forward.

Thanks,

Mike

Any chance your motor mounts are reversed? They have an offset and it can move the engine. I want to say the open side of the c shape is to the rear, someone on here can look and confirm. My 58 has been gone for 30 years and 55 for 20.

If the car came through with FACTORY AC, it should have (or had) a 3-sheave CS pulley, a 3-sheave WP pulley and a 2-sheave GEN pulley.

My 56 292 had a 3 shive on it when I bought it. The car could have had an aftermarket AC at one time. When I put on AC, Vintage engine brackets, the AC compressor went on the PS shive and we moved the PS onto the front one. The added one was cast iron and no Ford marking.

K is there anyway you can make your picture bigger? I was looking for something like that in my book and could not find one. The AC set up was aftermarket so not factory but it should be close.

Yes the open side is to the rear. I am now thinking that the NAPA water pump I got has too long of a nose. I am going to have the original one rebuilt as the large PS bolt hole has the wrong thread pitch so wont work anyhow.

Look @ ILL SECTION 190 PG 542 and you will find the ILL (1949-59 FORD CAR MPC - FINAL ISSUE).

If your system is aftermarket, you are most likely going to have to ID the vendor and hopefully find service parts there.
