Where to get drums turned on OC, Ca

Im having a hard time finding someone that can turn my drums in southern orange county. The few places I have found say they don't. I'm am also hoping they my arch the shoes if possible.

Tony,

You might want to check with Mel Gross who sells brake drums. I know he turns his drums and arch the new shoes. He advertises in the swap meet section and is located in Montebello. Hope this helps.

I used to work at a auto that had a drum lathe that had a special arbor for VW (bug) rear drum's..I used that arbor for the A rear drum's...


So there must be some shop that does old bug drum's ?..I guess you could even go to a VW dealer to get the drum's done..

i know a jeep parts supplier in huntington beach who said he'd plan to sell his equipment, if he's got it still he might just do it.
 
Jim Nichols in costa Mesa installed my cast iron drums on my original hubs, turned the drums, and arched the shoes. Shop number is 714-546-2969. Jim does all kinds of Model A mechanical work.
