I may sign up for one as I did at Gettysburg this year. What I meant in my earlier comment was not about advance sign up by presenters, but advance notification to the meet participants that the seminar was being held.
It could be that the modest showing of participants was the result of lack of interest rather than a lack of advance notice or a boring presenter, although no one fell asleep.
