I have a 1929 CCPU and number stamped on block is CA2505601...as best I can tell it was made in Canada in October 1929 but seems I get conflicting data...can anyone confirm or conflict with what I see as being correct from what I have found?Any feedback is most certainly welcomed!

CA means that it is a Canadian Built Car
CA1 - CA150120 was built from February 28, 1928 to August 31, 1929
But there are too many digits

From all I see it appears that my engine number must have been restamped by a rebuilder or someone for whatever reason at the time because my number would make it a truck built on October 21 1929 but the weird part is as you say too many digits and EVEN
with CA2505601 I see no way it could have really been built in Canada but in the US even tho it says CA!!!...am still in the dark on this one(LOL)

There would also be other differences visible if was a Canadian built car, e.g. bumper clamps, rad emblem, Canadian identification on the shocks, use of Robertson Head (square) screws and bolts - There is a section in the Judging Standards on Canadian built cars that is worth reading.
