When installing the float a motor mounts do you use the little bushings that go through the frame like the original mount or leave them out? My frame did not come with mounts and the float a motor kit does not have these bushings.
I posted it before, but no response---Here goes again:Yes, please post it here. So we all can use it.
just to add a little more info to what bill said, dont tighten the side float a motor mounts to tight, if you do you will get a lot of viberation just like stock mounts, tighten them down till the rubber pads are squist a little, you may have to tighten a few times till you get them tight but not so tight as to generate viberations
I feel that even a bone stock Model A engine gets a bad rap for being for being a vibration generator. Thanks for the info Bill, maybe thats why some people say they{mounts} don't help.
No pics, I sold my "30 coupe with that modification. Will be soon doing same on "VERMIN," my '29 coupe. ( the one in my avatar )I formed curved flat iron braces bolted to frame rail under side pans to stabiliize them from shaking.
Could you post a picture of these.
Thanks Joop
