When did the flathead V8 have a 1BBL carb?

Yesterday,I tried to buy two 34 V8 Fords locally.One had a two barrel carb and the other had a single barrel carb.When did Ford make the change? James:)
 
'32 I know came with a single barrel Detroit Lubricator carburetor and I'm pretty sure that '33 had the same. '34 came with a two barrel.
 
Thanks, Pete.I would almost bet that the 34 I looked at had an original single barrel setup,but of course I have no way of knowing for sure. James:)
 
You would have lost the bet James. 1 barrel was only on 32-33. The 34 was the start of the Stromberg 2 barrel. ken ct.
 
Sorry john 34 was a strom #48. Chandler-Grove came out in late 38 as the predecessor of the ford-holley 94 type carb used in one form or another till 56. ken ct. CG yrs were late 38 + 39 only.

You are probably right, I had a survivor 34 sedan that I tought was unmolested, it had a Chandler Grove on it. I based my comments on that
