I don't know the width but the 18s are wider. I have a set of 17s I use occasionaly on my 29 coupe, they ride better than the 21s but the steering is harder at low speed. they probably are a bit wider than the 18s.

The 18's, 17's and 16's all have progressively wider wheels. As the wheel size number comes down, the width goes up.
