Have a question to the guys running 40 brakes and 35 wire wheels. If you use the wire wheel spacer from speedway. you do not have enough threat to fill the nut, let alone any pass it . To me this is not safe . So what are you all running ?

If you use 46-48 hub assys that have hub on outside of drum, all you need is two 1/2" flat washers on each stud,& any 29-35 wheel will fit fine. You may have to grind down or knock-off a balance weight on the drum to get the wheel to seat properly.Ive done it this way back in the 60,s and had no problems at all.

Dusty, I am still trying to find the part number of the Dorman studs we used on a friends 40 brake conversion. They work great with slight mods that can be done at home.

We finally found the box from the studs. We used DOR 610-345which is a dorman product. We had to remove the alignment tip and grind a flat on the head and all except 2 fit perfectly and had to be driven in. We tacked those and decided to tack all of them just for insurance.
