Wheel Sizes

I have some Ford wire wheels from the 1930s that don't have tires on them. I'm wondering what size they are.

Is there any chart that equates the diameter of the wheel, rim to rim, to a wheel/tire size?

Subtracting about 1.5" from the measured outside rim diameter should get you close enough to tell. Example a 16" rim measures about 17.5" on the outside edges.

Also check for a 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern to be sure they are Ford. Pictures might help identify anything else unusual.
