Wheel identification

We acquired two 20", 40 spoke, two piece rims in with a pile of Model A parts we bought. They fit a car or pickup and are welded spoke. Does anyone have any idea what they are? We haven't found any manufacture identification stamped in them as yet.
Thank you

The Chief,

Do your rims look anything like these '28-'29 AA Wire Wheels?

They are split rims with 39 spokes. They would also be 20"

As far as I know, Ford patented the one piece Welded Wire Rim and no one produced them except under licence from Ford.

Can you post some photos?

The Chief,

Marco,

The Chief mentioned "They fit a car or pickup and are welded spoke."

This is what caused me to wonder if they might be '28 Wire Wheels, '31 Wires wouldn't fit car hubs would they? I am not certain that the '28's would either, but this was my line of thinking.

An early 1928 AA wire wheel has a larger lug nut and stud, on a special front drum, this would fit on the car axle and spindle. Bob

This is a picture of the wheel we found, we did find a few Chevrolet pieces in the pile, but would it have the same bolt pattern as Ford? This fits the Model A pickup and car.

Possibly a 29 Nash Possibly posting it on the AACA websits and likely you will find someone there that will know. Rod

'29 Chevy 20" wire wheels had 6 lug holes and were 1 piece like the "A" wheels. A pretty rare accessory for the '29 only Cast Iron Wonder.:)
