24? T touring car-this is my 1st model T
hello just got thru resolving carb, ignition, starter prob-then jacked up rear of car when ready to start it -the hand lever was pulled all the way back----after engine started, the left rear wheel turns but the right does not--if i pulled very forcibly back on hand lever, the lt. wheel slowed but never stopped turning----one thing i did not think of at the time was to have shifted the the lever into neut, and then forward gear to see affects on wheel turning

ques 1--are both wheels receiving drive but the rear brake on lft is not working? if both wheels are recieving drive are the bands out of adjustment? if out of adjustment , any advice on adjudsting?

ques 2 --is there any adjustment which i need to do to the lever ? if so,any directions on how to?

ques 3--check out my understanding of lever--all the way back is neutral and rear brkes applied, mid position=neutral , with brakes off, fwd=in fwd gear bands engaged and of course brakes off

It may not be the bands that are out of adjustment. May only be old sticky oil in the clutch.

does this picture help at all?

still having problems-i am beginner-its about 65 degrees here- i jacked up rear end, ran the car til warm in neutral, the rear whels turned fast, put hand brake on, then deopressing the 3 different pedals 1 at a time , when i depressed low, the wheel slowed, the brake would almost stall the car---then to test if i had accomplished anything --i then shut motor off, put lever midway cranked the crank by hand and the wheels turned.
i guess the trans isv still suck- what to do next?

by the way, tho i am classified as a sr, member, it's just because i've been a member a long time , not that i know anything

thank you

Maybe if you put where you are at in your profile someone that is close might be able to give you a hand figuring out what is going on. Could be the lugs in the brake drum are worn to the point that they are not releasing the disks. They get grooves worn in them that can prevent the clutch disks from moving back and forth on them.
Try googling "mtfca; worn brake drum lugs".
