Wheel Buddy

Just get some long bolts, cut the heads off, and grind a slight taper on them. Probably wouldn't hurt to hacksaw a screw driver slot in the end, just in case.

Good idea Rich but I don't know the size & pitch of pre war Dodge wheel bolts.
Also there are left and right versions too.

IIRC they're 1/2-20, take one out for a sample when you go searching, you can drive with one missing no problem.

Over the years mounted tires have grown in size and weight, and it gets worse with every birthday. The dump truck tires were more than I could man-handle, so I fabbed this lever out of shop scraps. Works great

I am 82 and my muscles have gone elsewhere. When I jack my "A" to remove a wheel, I jack the axle just barely enough to get the wheel off of the ground. This makes it much easier to get the wheel back on.

I have trouble getting my spare that close to the ground, especially with the luggage rack in the way.
