Whats it worth

I have a '37 flathead . I dont have alot of history on it. Its a 85 hp.

What I have done to it is new points, condenser, plugs, plug wires, new inner caps with good used outer caps. Have cleaned the inside of the engine, and stripped the outside of the engine and new paint on everything. Rebuilt the carb, (Stromberg 97), rebuilt the fuel pump. Both water pumps were leaking so I replaced them, and new hoses.
Have a used exhaust coming for it, with the single pipe going to the muffler.


It comes with a 3 speed ******, side linkage, and a heavy truck style radiator. The engine and trans sit on a 2ton truck frame, with wheels mounted on it to move around.

The motor runs great, does not appear to smoke much. Have not had it in a vehicle yet, so dont know how it will run under a load.

Thinking of selling it, don't know what it may be worth. Looking for some help finding a fair price.

Wingnut, Good timing on selling your engine! Mount it up in the back of your pickup to demonstrate it can run, get it up to Iola this July (just sixty miles from your location), and you're gonna drive home without it, gauranteed. Iola is the best swapmeet in the midwest, and you'll sell it if you price it fair. Forget about the truck frame, it's the engine you want to get some money out of, nobody wants to deal with a truck frame to get an engine.
