What's it worth? and tractor V8

Thanks to all who replied to my question, what is a flat head V8 worth? Several points were mentioned that I will surely consider.
Also, does anyone have any experience with installing a V8 in an 8N
Ford tractor? I recently saw two at a local tractor show.
The owner had one with the 60 hp engine and one with the 8BA engine. He had removed the stock gas tank and mounted a small tank behind the seat. That way the hood didn't have to be raised up. Looked good!
I grew up on an 8N and still have it and use it regularly. I will leave it stock, but am looking for a tractor, maybe with a bad engine that a flat head V8 can be installed in.
Any thoughts?

I'm going to put this one in a 2N.

After the many problems of mounting it, Cooling problems will follow. Do everything you can to clean the block such as, viniger soak, frayed end cable in drill inserted in block and head ect. Have the radiator rodded out and cleaned, very few radiator shops will rod anymore, they use hot chemicals which helps some but does not do a complete job. Use Skips high volume water pumps. Lots of luck.

There are some web sites for 8n tractors with flatheads in them.I know of one close to were I live(it may be a 9n?),they are sweet.I believe there is a guy that makes adapters for the conversion.

I built a flathead a few yr's ago for a guy that restores alot of 8N-9N tractors. We bought an adapter kit someplace to install a flathead in one. He just wanted it for parads, he had it all chromed up, even chrome headers. He liked to rev it up in parad with hollywood mufflers. Walt

A guy named Staffer or Schaffer makes all the parts to convert a 8N or 9N to a V/8. If I recall it has to be widened in the engine area. Google 8N engine conversions. G.M.
