What year Head?

Ive read that a 4cyl. chevy head will fit on a T motor...what year?
I have excess to a 1930 chevy engine.

You can put a 4 cylinder Chev head on a T with an adapter plate. The cylinders do not quite line up so the plate has sloped openings to make thing work. The later 4s have 2 exhaust ports & work much better. 28 was the last pre war 4. The first thing to check if you find a head is for cracks inside the exhaust ports.

The 1930 head would be a real challenge in that it has 6 cylinders!
 
The guy thinks the car is a 30. I looked and the motor is 4cyl. and complete.

Chev 4-cyl overhead valve heads will mount to T blocks with an adapter plate. This installation was discussed in detail on the HAMB site and AACA forum. Did not read to far because I like them stock. Good luck.
