I have a 194c.i. inline six cyl.Was wondering which transmission i can use, would like to use a three speed manual.

I would suggest a top loader 3 speed from 85hp pass car or light comm. vehicle
(not including a little 60hp trans), 32-38 w/39-48 gears, or a '39 w/39-48 gears. There are pu truck versions up to ~51 that would also work.

I'm more familiar with the 215, 235, & 250 Chevy sixes. The 194 is an odd ball to me. If it has the same bell housing bolt up as most Chevys of that era, you can use about any adapter made for Chevy to Ford trans conversions or just use a Chevy specific transmission.

If that 194 is one of the "late model" ('62 & up) series, it has the same bell housing mount as the Chevy v-8s. You need an adapter: S.B.C. to eary Ford transmission. They're out there. Having said that, why put that engine in an early Ford?
