I continued soaking it in Acetone for 5 more days, checking it and wiping it off each day. Finally all that was left of this substance was alittle bit in the creases next to and inside the low spots in the letters. Luckily most of this was gooey and using a pick I was able to remove it all. happy with the outcome, just wish it did not take so long. Now to figure out what year it is. Thanks Rod
